    IB market scan via NinjaTrader

    Hi All,

Can I use NinjaTrader (together with Interactive Brokers) to do the following:
I want to write my own market scan that gets the open/close/high/low/volume of the last x candles and stores the data in a CSV file.
This should be done for a list (array) of stocks (CFD).

Any example code would be appreciated.
And how to use this code in NinjaTrader? Where to load it, how to execute it?

    Thanks!

    Hello DirkN,

    Thank you for posting.

Yes, this could be possible using NinjaScript.

You could likely use an indicator for this with the MarketAnalyzer to run it over a list of instruments.

For an example of writing to file, we have the following post: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ead.php?t=3475

For instructions on applying indicators to the Market Analyzer, this article is helpful:

I look forward to being of further assistance.

Good to hear this is possible

Let's say I want to switch to another broker, can I re-use the scripts that I've written for Interactive Brokers for other brokers?
      Does NinjaTrader work with IG.com?

        Hello DirkN,

        Thank you for posting.

Yes, there are multiple supported brokers with the platform and scripts can be used with the Simulation tools or with the various brokerage connections. You can find more on the supported connections our main web page ninjatrader.com: http://ninjatrader.com/BuyPlatform You can see the supported providers in the dropdown lists.

NinjaScript items are able to be developed using the Simulation or Live licenses, and you can use the same scripts on multiple different connections, accounts, instruments and even computers. Scripts can be exported as source code or as protected assemblies and can be included in regular backups.

I look forward to being of further assistance.
