NinjaTrader
tried to upgrade, failed, now can't open

Please write into platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with your log and trace files so that we may investigate this further.
Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments in an email from the above address
In the body of the email, please write "ATTN Riley" with the following link:

I have reported this problem to NT support weeks ago when my upgrade to 8.3 failed.
The upgrade to 8.4 failed as well. Here is how I got through it.
I had this problem on Windows 7 operating system.
Go to your windows control panel window and open the programs and features icon.
Right click on Ninjatrader 8 listing and select repair.
This will restore the prior version of NT8.
After Ninjatrader 8 is operational,
To get the upgrade to install, I right clicked Ninjatrader 8 icon in Programs and Features listing and selected delete.
After deletion is complete, run the Ninjatrader 8.4 install program to get to that version.
Make sure the install program downloaded is located on the same computer.

After reviewing the log and trace files, your platform is still on 8.0.2. As advised by RJay, if NinjaTrader 8.0.2 doesn't repair, see about uninstalling NinjaTrader 8 and then reinstalling the newest version.

sesplin, thanks for posting back.
Unfortunately, backups from 8.0.2 aren't functionally on any newer versions, however, if you uninstalled and reinstall, your settings. workspaces, add-ons etc. should still be available unless you deleted the NinjaTrader 8 folder in the Documents. The NinjaTrader 8 folder in the Documents is a settings folder.Riley S.NinjaTrader Customer Service
