Zoom and scale issues

Hello everyone
I'm testing the last beta (7.0.0.4) when adding more charts (sub chart) and the window is not maximized all is working fine, as soon as you maximize the chart and try to zoom out right and left axis disappear and chart become blank
Same as I noticed on the first beta
(I'm testing ES+ES+YM 3-5-1 minute timeframe)

Was unable to reproduce. How did you make the chart? Please provide exact steps as to when each series was added and which method was used to add them. Candlesticks/OHLC/etc? Any indicators? How are you doing the zoom out? On which panel? Thank you.

ok, to isolate the bug, just open a chart, add a couple of symbols and set the days to load at 5 (or whatwver you want) for the first and 3 for the second one.
As soon as you have data on your chart try to zoom in and out
(custom settings, candlestick and nothing more)

Unfortunately still unable to reproduce. Please provide exact steps with which provider, exactly which instruments, 1min? tick? volume?, and how exactly you are zooming in. Via hot keys? Via chart tool bar? Which instrument are you zooming in? Primary? Secondary? Thank you.

Not sure if this is related or a new problem, but I can reproduce a zoom problem by doing the following with NT Beta 6:

1) Start NT

2) Create a new Workspace

3) Create a new Chart

4) Add Instrument ES, 1 minute, 5 day, no template, Candlestick

5) Add Instrument YM, 1 minute, 5 day, no template, Candlestick to same Chart

6) Save Workspace as NoZoomNew

7) Click Zoom In icon and select some bars in the ES chart.

8) Close all other Workspaces

9) Save Workspace as NoZoomCorrupt

10) See both Zoom In and Zoom Out icons enabled

11) Close Control Center with X

12) Save ALL Workspaces

13) Start NT

14) In chart, only the bars from 7) above are displayed. Zoom In icon is enabled but Zoom Out icon is not enabled.


I have both NoZoomNew and NoZoomCorrupt Workspaces. Let me know if you want them.

Hi Jim,

The reason this occurs is because when you close your workspace it also loses the zoom history of the chart so on a workspace restore the zoom out icon is disabled. You can still change the bar spacing by dragging the x-axis or changing it via the Data Series UI menu directly though.
