Digital Assets Trading in NinjaTrader?

I want to do trading in Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin. Is this possible to do in Ninja Trader? Can someone please suggest some samples or tutorials how can this be achieved with the help of DLL interface?

eSignal connection and Bitcoin

I found that eSignal is offering data.

So is there really no way just to at least do some charting and get up to date prices into NT?

I am trying to set up $XBTEUR with ESignal symbol mapping XBTEUR@KKN A0-FX.
When I load the chart I receive "Error on loading chart data ....: Native error -15".

That would be a real differentiator to trade/backtest crypto currencies.

No, these assets are not supported by the NinjaTrader Platform. Futures, Indices, Stocks and Forex are what is supported with NinjaTrader.

But eSignal lists them as a currency.

XBTEUR@KKN A0-FX
vs. for example
EURAUD A0-FX

So technically there should be no difference, no?

It appears these are using the eSignal FXP exchange rather than the FX exchanged used for eSignal Currencies. In any case, these would likely not work correctly if mapped as NinjaTrader does not have an interface or data provider currently for trading these asset classes.

I can certainly forward a feature request for FXP eSingal support on your behalf for future consideration.

To clarify, the NinjaTrader platform does not support bitcoin in general. This includes charting and backtesting.

"does not support" means doing it would invalidate e.g. a multi-broker license? Or does it mean that you do not offer help with doing it? Or that it can't be done, for technical reasons? Or that Ninjatrader want to discourage such development?

Glad to assist. This would have no relation to the license key, these assets simply are not able to be loaded for technical reasons that involve both data and trading additions that would be needed.

Our Development team is currently tracking interest in supporting these assets in the future. I will also submit a vote on your behalf as well.

OK.It used to be possible in NT7. There was at least one connector that worked with MTGOX Exchange. I used to use it.
