    How to collapse all #region #endregion blocks?

    How can I collapse all #region #endregion blocks in the NT8 editor? This was done automatically in NT7 when the indicator was saved.

    Hello poseidon_sthlm,

    Thank you for your note.

    Currently there is no way to collapse all #regions inside of the NT8 editor. You will need to either collapse your #region blocks manually or close and reopen the NinjaScript Editor window. I have submitted your inquiry as an additional vote for an existing feature request to our development team for future consideration in an upcoming release of NinjaTrader. This feature request has been assigned the custom tracking ID SFT-1503.

    Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

      I have noticed that the NT8 editor does expand #region #endregion blocks when you modify your script. This is very annoying since the screen suddenly displays an other part of your script (beacuse of the expanded #region #endregion blocks) and you do have to scroll to get back to the line that you were modifying. If I add a simple
      Code:
       if()
      {
      the #region #endregion blocks will expand before I have added the
      Code:
      }
      Please fix this!

      /P

        Hello poseidon_sthlm,

        Thank you for the reply and for the valuable feedback. This behavior with the NinjaScript Editor is expected right now and is currently being tracked and monitored as a feature request by our development team with the unique ID SFT-1503.

        Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance.

          me also

          I'm now starting the NT8 conversion and find that the editor not collapsing the #regions after compile is irritating.....I have a lot of code and only want to see the parts I'm working on....

          All my code is broken into smaller #region groupings.

          Please allow an option on this behavior...I prefer how NT7 worked

              Please add my vote to this feature as well _ChrisSch. It is quite annoying, especially if you have long code.

                Why would you guys take this out of the script editor in the first place? It's a very common and necessary feature for C# coders. Does anyone on the dev team actually use that editor?

                  Hello molecool,

                  Thank you for your note.

                  This behavior with regions not collapsing after compiling in the NinjaScript Editor was not intended and our Development team is currently aware of the behavior.

                  Please let us know if we may provide further assistance.

                    Looks like this is fixed in NT8.0.11.1 although I didn't see it specifically listed in release notes.

                      Editor expands #region #endregion blocks (ID SFT-1503)

                      Hello!
                      The problem in post #3 with ID SFT-1503 is still unsolved. The NT8 editor does unintentionally expand #region #endregion blocks when you modify your script. This is very annoying and unexpected behaviour , not a feature request. So could you please give prior to this issue?

                          Bug in Editor, SFT-1503, still unsolved in NT 8.0.14

                          Hello again!

                          The bug in the NT editor described in post #3 with ID SFT-1503 is still unsolved in the new NT 8.0.14.1. Why is that?

                              I'm just curios about why a major bug in the NT editor was not a priority for the last NT release. Do you expect NT users to use Visual Studio?
