    NT & Vista RC1

Anything in the works for NT running under Vista RC1? I tried running the installer but it is looking for .Net framework, even though that is already installed with Vista RC1. Thanks for any info.

NT5 needs .NET 1.1 framework. Vista likely has .NET 2.0 framework installed. Make sure you have installed .NET 1.1 on Vista and try again.

However: Vista is not yet officially released nor tested by NT.

We'll see what happens. According to Vista it's got .Net 3.0 on it. And of course, if my computer blows up or if NT under Vista buys 10,000,000 ES minis, it's not NT's fault. :-)

Doesn't even work - tried it on a laptop. Says it can't find a .dll. No biggie, just tryiing it for fun.

          What didn't work in particular?
          - Installing .NET 1.1 or
          - installaing NT after installing .NET 1.1

          Thanks

I was able to get NinjaTrader to work on Vista.

I got the same error at first though.

You must first install .NET 1.1 and then install NinjaTrader.

After installing NinjaTrader please visit this site - http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...f5f101033.mspx

You must follow those instructions to get NinjaTrader to work. There are certain security settings in Vista that block some programs.

When using the wizard to change your settings the only thing you will need to check is to allow NinjaTrader to run as an administrator. All the other checkboxes that have to do with display settings, etc do not need to be checked.

After completion of the wizard NinjaTrader should work fine. You may have to do the same with other programs if they don't work right.

            Regards,

            Matt
