Automating an indiactor set of rules

Hello,

I purchased a indicator with chart template from a vendor that is for mechnical/manual systematic trading every day.

If I wanted to automate these rules and chart template together, would I have to program the rules with the chart template?

Can NinjaTrader use point and click over a series of trades to see automatically write the code for me based on how I trade over a series of trades?

Sorry if the question sounds weird. I am new to automation.

Thank you for your post.

An automated strategy would need to be built in the Strategy Wizard or via code directly in the NinjaScript Editor. Unfortunately, there is no means to have the strategy build itself off of your trading.

For the indicator you will be able to call it in the strategy itself. And for the template, make sure to save it as 'Default' to ensure the settings are as you wish.

If you would like to take on learning NinjaScript, we have a fully documented help guide which will help you get started with Ninja Script. You will find language references to all of the methods and functions you will be using. You will also see a tutorial section which will help you create your first indicator and get you started with some of these concepts.
