    Login with IB gateway

    Hello, I trying to login to NT with IB Gateway and after I made new account connection through NT and I trying to connect I get the next error: Click image for larger version

    Hello MrN1njaTrader,

    Can you please follow the steps below to solve the connection error.

    1. Locate javaw.exe located in the following directory:
    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin(Note your version may be different from jre1.8.0_25)

    2. You are going to COPY the javaw.exe file to the 'clipboard' (right-click Javaw.exe and select copy)

    3. Now paste it into the following two directories:
    C:\Windows\System32
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64

    4. Once this is complete, please reboot your PC and check if you can connect successful.

      OK that worked but now I have new error to solve, please see attached file:

        It seems you run into the same sequence of errors as reported at the forum thread below.


        I suggest to try the workaround at the following forum thread and check if this allows you to connect successful.



        Open TWS. In menu bar click <Configure> and proceed as outlined below.

        Configuration--> Display--> Settings

        On the right panel in "Titlebar text" there is a edit box. Enter following into it:

        "Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation" (without quotes)

        Then navigate to Configuration--> Display--> Style

        Check the setting: Use system title bar (Change requires a restart).

        Check if you can connect to Interactive Brokers in NinjaTrader.

          It didn't worked. I am still able to connect to NT with TWS but I am still not able to connect IB gateway to NT. Any other solutions?

            Please note that IB Gateway is not officially supported with NinjaTrader 7. Gateway is supported with NinjaTrader 8. Please see the Interactive Brokers connection guide at the link below.
