how does one set a book mark in the help guide?

Hello joemiller,
You may right click on the section within the left column you wish to bookmark and select "open in a new tab" and then bookmark the new tab with the correct URL address.
In specific areas you may select the permalink option as well within the NinjaTrader 8 help guide.

i understand right clicking on a section and selecting open in a new tab. however, i have never ever used a ''bookmark'' feature so i don't understand the concept ''bookmark the new tab with the correct URL address'' ... please describe in detail the required steps to do so.

Bookmarks are browser based items. I would recommend using searching on the internet on how to properly add bookmarks to your browser. There is not a bookmarking feature within the help guide.
