Support for Swedish OMX exchange

When I look up ABB on Google it say STO:ABB
so I guessed that was correct.

But when I try AZN (STO:AZN) I get the same chart or same price data?

They are both on the Stockholm exchange.

Thanks for writing in to our Support team.

Unfortunately the Stockholm stock exchange is not supported in NinjaTrader so you will not be able to retrieve data for the Skanska b stock.

However the ABB, STO, and AZN stocks are all traded on the NYSE and I was able to retrieve data for them when I included the NYSE and default as the exchanges and set the symbol mapping for Google to ABB, STO, and AZN respectively.

So if I understand you correct if I look up a stock on google with the symbol "STO:ABB" I cannot chart it in NT8?
Because I remember it was possible via Yahoo where they were named "ABB.ST". It was just to remove the "."
There must be some kind of workaround, even if I manually have to entter them stock by stock?
Trading stocks on NYSE give me a higher comission.
I want to use NT to run strategies to give me buy and sell signals, I do the trading in another system.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately the Stockholm stock exchange is not supported so there would be no way for us to retrieve the information from Google. We do have the SFB listed as an exchange and it is listed as the Stockholm stock exchange in our platform, but the SFB is mapped as the Swedish stock exchange.

I'll be making a note to our development team for SFB exchange to read "Swedish stock exchange" instead of "Stockholm stock exchange".

I have been testing using various formats for symbol mapping and have only been able to retrieve data for these stocks using NYSE as the exchange. I even attempted using the SFB exchange with no success.

I will be submitting a feature request to our development team to support the Stockholm stock exchange in a future release of NinjaTrader.
