Problem with Audio Alerting

I am no longer receiving the audio portion of alerts. The alerts are being logged, I see them on the screen, but there is no audio. They were working before, but stopped. I did not perform any upgrades or other system changes. I still receive the audio from all other events that have sound, but nothing from an alert.
Any idea of what could be causing this?

If you create a new audio alert, does the issue persist?
