hot key for chart trader

Hi,

I miss the button (within the chart) to show/hide the chart trader like in NT7.
I created a hot key to show it up but couldn't found a way to hide it????
It seemed the developers are no trader or what's the reason for this, or is there a way to hide it via a hot key?

Hi James,

I know this icon but it's additional hidden if you work with small charts and then you have to click 3(!) times to hide the panel.
So there is no way to assign the hiding to a hot key?

Understood; you can absolutely assign a hotkey via Control Center > Tools > Hot Keys > Charts > Show Chart Trader.

thanks for the fast answer but I think you don't understand my question.
I assigned a hot key to "show chart trader". If I use this key, chart trader shows up, wonderfull.
But if I click again, the chart trader is closed and not hidden and this means that my orders in the chart disapear and this is nonsens, sorry but true.
So my question was, how to hide the chart trader and not close it.
And if you take a minute and look to this in NT7, the solution was clear and easy with 1 click.

I see what you are saying now; thanks for the clarification. This is the current intended way that this hotkey feature works, but I will ask that development to consider a change for a future release of NinjaTrader. For now, you will need to use the icon at the top of the chart and toggle with one additional click for your desired use of hiding the Chart Trader without disabling it.

I would also a way to put chart trader in Hidden mode with a hot key. Similar to md236, I may have 5 narrow windows side by side. I use a hotkey to open chart trader to adjust trade settings (choose an ATM) but then need to do several mouse close to put it in Hidden mode again.

Icon colors could alert when there are pending orders

What if , when you have an order pending, that the color of the Chart Trader tool bar icon is a bright color when Chart Trader is shown as closed...this would alert one that there is an order pending. Also maybe a separate color for the hidden Chart Trader icon when an order is pending...??

And what about a hot key to toggle between hidden and open ??

hot key for chart trader open but hidden

Please create a hot-key so that we can toggle between visible and hidden chart trader panel while it remains open. I realize there's and existing hot-key to completely open/close chart trader - but I am asking for a way to toggle between visible and hidden. This will free up significant real estate while still allowing to track active positions. Seems like an easy fix.
