    Instrument - Exchange update result in historical data removal

    CAC40 Future instrument has 2 exchanges Monep and Sbf, by unchecking either one of the exchange and apply the change. Historical data for all the CAC40 future contracts are removed by NT8. Is this a normal behaviour?

    Does additional of instrument exchange has the same behaviour for Futures and other instruments type?

    Using NT 8.0.6.1, Windows 10 64bit

    Hello garfielalvin,

    Are you saying that historical data already present at Control Center-->Tools-->Historical Data-->Edit-tab is deleted after you make this change? If the instrument is not configured properly, it will not load the requested data from the connected data feed. The default futures instruments are configured properly - I do not recommend to add/remove exchanges.

      The data are historical data from migration of NT7 with no attempt to download new data.

      After updating the exchanges in the CAC40 instrument. Listing of contracts CAC40 01-17, CAC40 02-17.....CAC40 05-17 are still shown in Control Center-->Tools-->Historical Data-->Edit-tab. But it contains no entries

      and database of ALL CAC40 futures contracts in the following directories are being deleted
      C:\Users\XXX\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\day\CAC40 01-17
      C:\Users\XXX\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\day\CAC40 02-17
      ...
      C:\Users\XXX\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\day\CAC40 05-17
      C:\Users\XXX\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\minute\CAC40 01-17
      C:\Users\XXX\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\minute\CAC40 02-17
      ....
      C:\Users\XXX\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\minute\CAC40 05-17

        Thank you for reporting. I experience the same on my end. After disabling one of the exchanges, historical data already present in NinjaTrader is removed. I will send report to development.

            The tracking number is NTEIGHT-11780. Look for this number in the release notes when a new version of the platform is released:
