    JurikJMA

Is the JurikJMA missing. I was playing around with the
6.5.1000.9 version. An error message comes up saying
that Ninja Trader could not find the Jurik DLL when I
tried to get the JurikJMA to display.

    Thanks

    The JurikJMA is a third-party add-on.

It's working fine here with 6.5.0009

I believe the question was because Jurik is included with the default Ninja download, yet there are no DLL's. Why package it in the default indicators if it doesn't work? Marketing, contract?

I could be wrong, I have so many packages it is possible something else installed them. But I am pretty confident it is included with the main download.

I believe that the Jurik indicators should only be available as a download from NT's website.

They should not be included in the default configuration becouse they only work if you pay Jurik for a license.

The only thing I can figure is that NT is getting a little something from Jurik for doing this.

One thing NT could do is make them available with their non-trading license.

That way we could at least test them before putting money down.

Well, does the Hull moving average give valid calculations?
Or is it an approximation because I'm just using the freeware
version of Ninja. It didn't seem correct, as I played with it using
1 second simulated data on the YM.

Hi Stephen, the Jurik tools are third party add ons you need a valid license for - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/pa...g_3rdparty.htm

Can you please post a screenshot why you feel the HMA is giving incorrect results?

              Hull average is yellow.
              SMA is the other curve.

I know the Hull is supposed to track better
than a SMA. It seems to be tracking a little too good.
Both moving averages are 24. Simulated data
on YM using 5 second bars. There is no way for me to do
the math on this and check, so any thoughts on this
              are welcome.

The question would be what do you compare it to, the tracking from the HMA for the same length is for sure much better since the signal lag is also shorter, so if you set both the same length HMA will always be faster and unfortunately generate more overshoot, too...so I I understand you correctly try making the HMA longer, for example 36 or 48...
