How to play an alert sound on Point and Figure chart (when the bar closes) NT8

Hello everyone!

I am using a P&F charts and I need that every time a new bar appears, the platform emits a sound.
Lets start to say that I am a trader and not a programmer, so I have no idea how to create a code for that


I saw something similar in other thread but for NT7, so I cannot try it on NT8..

Can someone of you guys help me, please?

Thank you for your post,

See the below screen shots on how to configure an alert for every bar close (right click on the chart > Alerts).

Note: You'll also need to define an Action like play sound, ect.

Hi Eric, thanks for the quickly reply.

I've tried to set it up and it works but not every time.
I mean, after configured the alerts as you posted on the screenshots, sometimes it emits the sound and sometimes not.
I need that every time a new bar will be generated, NT8 going to emits the sound.
Maybe I lost some particular?

It may be an issue with the setup of the alert. Could you please post a screen shot of the Alerts and Conditions windows?

There doesn't appear to be an issue with the setup of the alert, I was able to successfully recieve an alert each time a new bar is added using these settings.

To test, please disconnect from your market data feed then connect to the Simulated data feed found via the Connections menu, then use the Trend Slider to trend the market up or down depending on the Reversal setting.

Is there an alert triggered each time a new bar is plotted?

I tried that and everithing seems to work fine.
All market seems to emits the sound.
Does this means that everithing must work during real time/real market as well?

Glad to heat that worked, yes, you should then see the same results when receiving real-time data as well.
