    Hello MichaelAlexander,

    Thank you for your post,

I tested this on my end using Windows 10 and also was not able to get NinjaTrader to launch successfully at startup using the Task Scheduler. I'm unsure if this will be possible, I'll look into this further on my end and follow up with my findings.

We look forward to assisting further.

          Michael,

Thank you for your post, I was able to successfully launch using the Task Scheduler using the steps below.

Please note this is set up for my local machine (Windows 10), I will be here to assist if it does not work with your Windows server.

Press the Windows key, search for Task Scheduler and open the Task Scheduler.
          Create task
          Give it a name/description
          Go to the Triggers tab
          Click New
Select 'At log on' in the 'Begin the task' menu.
          Go to the Actions tab
Browse for the .exe to launch. I have mine pointing to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 8\bin64\NinJaTrader.exe'
          Go to Conditions tab
in the Power section uncheck 'Start the task only if the computer is on AC power'. I'm on a laptop so it might not be there for a desktop.

That should work for a local machine. We can tinker with it if you want to set it up on the virtual machine running on a server.

Restart or log off to test it out.

If questions come up or if we may be of any further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks When I Followed you steps it works when I Login to my server. But when I want NT to run by itself without log in. This does not work. I tried the 'At Stared Up' function but this will not work either. maybe i do something wrong but I can not find what.

Do you know a solution to do this?

              Michael,

              Thanks for the reply.

We are actively researching NinjaTrader compatibility with the Windows Task Scheduler.
We will follow up on this with you once we have more information.

Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance

                  Michael,

I have confirmed that the Task Scheduler is not officially supported. We will submit a feature request for this. I will follow up with an internal tracking number for your reference as soon as it is created.

If questions come up or if we may be of any further assistance, please let us know.

                    Is there any news?
I would need to use nt8 in the task scheduler.
                    thanks

                      Hello dani neira.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader support forum.

I believe the original poster and I solved this through email. I exported a Task Scheduler task to start NinjaTrader at 6:30AM every day. To import it, open up Task Scheduler and select "Import Task" at the top right of the window. I had to zip up the task file up to upload it here to the forum, so unzip the attached file and import the "Start NinjaTrader.xml" file within.

Please let me know if I can assist with anything else.
