What do I need to do back test US Stocks? Can I use a simulation account to do the back test? Do I need to buy data provider? What are the options of data providers? How much would it cost?

While paper trading with NinjaTrader is easier with a live data feed connection - which you can try for free here, http://ninjatrader.com/FreeLiveData , you can use freely available Market Replay and Simulated Data Feed data to backtest strategies as well, including with the Strategy Analyzer tool.

Thank you for writing in.

Yes, you would be able to add your portfolio by adding those names/symbols to a list in the Instrument Manger (Control>Tools>Instrument Manger). Once you’ve created a new Instrument List and added names to it you should go to Control Center>File>Strategy Analyzer, right click the name of the list (above the symbols) and select either Backtest, Optimize, or Walk Forward.
