Merge Contract

Hi,

I am trying to merge 2 contract (IBEX - MEFF)

I select the contract that expired today and the new one to merge into.

The problem is i receive a error message saying "You must select a valid instrument"

Both instrument are valid as i can chart both.

Hi,

What data feed are you connected to? Can you chart both products within NinjaTrader? Can you post your contract specs? These instruments are not built by default in NinjaTrader and I would like to test on my end.

- please make sure you are on latest 6.5.1000.1
- remove the IBEX mini on instrument manager
- terminate and restart NT
- re-add the IBEX mini on the instrument manager
- add both expiries to you default instrument list
- try again to merge

now it is better because it is recognizing the contracts but it is not merging. It says it hasn’t got data for the new contract although you can see the chart behind.

Likely since the days that you chose for the merge does not have data for that day.

I have minute and daily data but not tick. Do I need to have tick data for merge minutes?

On the text on the message box of your screen shot suggests you have no data for IBEX 05-08 in your DB for the merge date -> you can not merge.
