Order sending

Hi NT team,

For instance, there are two accounts Sim101 and Sim102.
When launching a strategy from "Strategies" tab, I pick Sim101 account.
How do I send orders to the sub-account Sim102 while launching from Sim101?

Hello roalad,

Strategies are designed to place orders only to the account selected for the strategy.

If you would like the strategy to trade multiple accounts, add an instance of the strategy for each account and select different accounts for each instance.

There are unsupported methods for sending orders outside of the NinjaScript Strategy framework. The Long Short Toolbar Buttons indicator created by a community member demonstrates this unsupported code.

Hello ChelseaB,

I try to realize optimally entries in one instrument. For instance, we have Strategy_1 and Strategy_2 launched from one account. When Strategy_1 enters Long and Strategy_2 enters Sell, closure of the positions in the account happens.

Are there any other options except using multiple accounts to solve such a situation?

Where there is only one account with two strategies on the same instrument each strategy will have its own strategy (virtual) position but the account can only have one position so your observation is what will happen. If one buys and the other sell you would be flat. To run the two strategies on the same instrument without impacting the account position of the other, they each would need their own account.
