Buy Limit orders above the asking price

Hi, I have a question regarding a strategy I wrote and am trying to optimize.

Basically, the strategy should place a buy limit order at the RTH open at a calculated price. The limit price is calculated from a user-defined variable (“pullback percent”) based on a percentage of the overnight move.

In some cases, the price at the RTH open (when my limit order is placed) is already below the calculated entry price and the order immediately gets filled at the calculated price, not at the Ask (as it would if trading live). Is there a trick to getting the analyzer to fill the order at the Ask if my calculated price happens to be above current price?

    Thanks.

Nevermind, I'm being dumb--I can just use an if-else statement.
