Customizing Candlesticks.

Is there a way to customize candlesticks like their color and/or border? When I right click on the chart and go to properties I could only see an option to change the chart background color.
Sorry for all the questions as I am brand new to this platform.

Thank you for posting in our forum!

To change the color of your candlesticks as well as their borders, please first right click within your chart window and select Data Series. In the parameters to the right, under Chart style, you will find the options to change the colors of your Candle body outline, Candle wick, Color for down bars, and Color for up bars. When finished configuring these to your preferences, click OK.

Additionally, I have provided a relevant section of the NinjaTrader 8 Help Guide, on the Data Series window and parameters.

Thank you very much for your post.

All settings that can be changed may be found in the Data Series directly.

After scrolling down, you will be able to change e.g. the candle outline and wick color.

If you do not find the setting that you would like to change therein, could you by chance point out which color you are referring to on the screenshot?

But I have a question... How do I make my candle body outlines and candle wicks have a certain color depending on if it is a down bar or up bar?
It looks to me like the NT8 Data Series screen only gives me the choice to set all candle body outlines and/or wicks to a single color regardless of Up/Down candle.

This would require custom programming, as you are correct that the native settings are universal across all bars. If you are not a programmer yourself, a third party vendor could assist further with creating such an item!
