TDAmeritrade data - no real time update

    TDAmeritrade data - no real time update

    When I am connected to TDAmeritrade using NT8, the data for stocks does not update real time. I have to "Reload All Historical Data" in order to get it to update. I don't have this issue with NT7.

    Hello,



    Please reset the instruments with the steps below.
    • First, disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on “disconnect” that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
    • Next, reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
    • In the Database Management window, under the “Update instruments” section, ensure that “General properties”, "Futures expiries" and “Symbol mappings” options are checked and then click Update

    Next use the steps I have provided below to delete your cache:
    • Close NinjaTrader
    • Documents
    • NinjaTrader 8
    • Open the db folder
    • Delete the cache folder
    • Open NinjaTrader
    • Connect

    If the issue persists can you tell me what version of NinjaTrader you have installed which can be found in the Control Center under Help->About.

      After performing your recommended steps, the problem continues to persist. The data is not updated real time on equities with the TDAmeritrade data connection on NT8, but it works fine on NT7. I am using version 8.0.5.2.

        So I can look into this further please go to Help->Email Support and be sure to include Attn: Chris Jameson in the Subject line, a link to this thread in the body and a check in the box for "Log and trace files".

          I'm experiencing the same issue on several machines... 2 of which are new installs.

              Is this still an issue?

              Are you now able to get real time equities data from TDAmeritrade in NT 8?

                I haven't tried it this week, but in general, yes, I am able to get real time equities data from TD AMTD with NT 8.

                  Yes you should be able to receive time stock data while connected to TD Ameritrade in NinjaTrader 8.
