    Line Chart and $TICK vales

1 I am presuming that NT does not enable use of line charts, I am trying to plot $TICK and $TRIN as lines rather than candles or OHLC

2 NTdoes not seem to report $TICK values less than zero even though they are valid values.

    Thanks

    1. NT5 does not support line. NT6 will which will be out in beta in a few weeks.

    2. NT5 does not support plotting of negative values. NT6 will.

Can you please confirm that NT6 supports line charts now?

          Hello AgeKay,

Correct, this is supported in NinjaTrader 6.5.

Double click the chart to open up the Properties menu.

Select 'Chart style' and set it to 'Line on Close'. You can find a quick menu in the chart toolbar between the interval and drawing tools menu's.

Jason, thank you for your quick reply.

What I meant are line charts that are not based on the 'close' of a time frame but on every tick that is coming in. Is that possible?

Yes, this is supported depending on the data feed provider. Please see the link below which will list all supported data feed providers and the services they offer.

You would select 'Tick 1' as the interval in the Format Data Series window upon creating a new chart.

The problem I have with this is that I cannot zoom out far enough to see the entire trading day. I would like to have a chart like the one on the following page: http://www.eurexchange.com/market/qu...200903_en.html

I suggest to use a higher tick interval value than 1, so you can display the entire day in the chart.

In addition, you can compress the X-axis by click and hold the left mouse button below the X-axis and move right.
