    Drawing at Bottom/Top of Chart Window

    Hi,

    Is there a quick way to draw a figure, say rectangle, at the bottom of the visible chart window? ChartScale MaxValue and MinValue don't seem to be available outside of OnRender. Please advise. Thank you.

    Hello Zeos6.

    Thank you for the post.

    Please see section 1.4 - Rendering Custom Shapes in 'SampleCustomRender.cs' in a NinjaScript editor.

    Here is the code used to print a large rectangle:

    Code:
    // 1.4 - Rendering Custom Shapes

    			SharpDX.RectangleF rect = new SharpDX.RectangleF(startPoint.X, startPoint.Y, width, height);

    			RenderTarget.FillRectangle(rect, areaBrushDx);

    			RenderTarget.DrawRectangle(rect, customDXBrush, 2);
    You can see at the beginning of OnRender(), there are two SharpDX vectors, and they are set by accessing the X/Y coordinates of the ChartPanel object, which is global to your script.

    Code:
    // 1.1 - SharpDX Vectors and Charting RenderTarget Coordinates

    		SharpDX.Vector2 startPoint;
    		SharpDX.Vector2 endPoint;

    startPoint = new SharpDX.Vector2(ChartPanel.X, ChartPanel.Y);
    		endPoint = new SharpDX.Vector2(ChartPanel.X + ChartPanel.W, ChartPanel.Y + ChartPanel.H);
    You can compute the bottom left of this panel from the X, Y coordinates.
