Email Set Up for google mail

Hi ,
I like to set up my strategy with an email feature , so it sends me a email when it enters or exits a position.

Can you pls send me a code snippet or tell me how to achieve this ?

Are you referring to the setting for the code in that snippet, or somewhere else?

I am referring to the email server settings in Tools > Options > Misc.
i tried to set up my gmail there and could not get it to work

I tried that setting and got the following error when did a test.
Is it because I am using free NT version ?

You can send mail with the free version. We can take a look at your trace file for more information on this. Please send to support 'at' ninjatrader 'dot' com and reference this thread.


You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

* The trace file will be named ‘trace.YYYYMMDD.txt’
