Hidden Order support (for IB)

Hi

I would like to suggest that Hidden Orders will be supported. This is a TWS feature that may come in handy when stops are placed in the marketplace for low liquidity or premarket instruments. The visibility of the stops causes other players in the market to make use of the information, making the market more inclined to go though the stop before heading in the opposite direction.

There is a checkbox in the IB connection definition "Local OCO simulation"/ I would suggest that in the same place there would be "send OCO stops as hidden" and that the stop order generated by the DOM would then be sent as "hidden".

It is a shame that currently using this feature requires doing that from TWS's own unbelievable interface Thank you for considering this

I was referring to ATM strategy OCO stops.

If you would like to hide your Stop Order you may use a Volume Trigger within the Stop Strategy window which would then keep the order simulated on your PC until the volume reaches the trigger value or below which at that point it would then be submitted to your broker.

I have also forwarded this to our development team as a suggestion on how we can improve the NinjaTrader platform. Once this suggestion has been input into our tracking system I will forward you the assigned ID number for tracking.

Thanks. I understand and am using the volume stop. Yet it is an inferior solution relative to the hidden order because the order is not in the market. Thanks for your consideration

I was searching online and this is the only reference I found on Ninjatrader and Interactive Brokers ATM orders support for hidden order attribute. Was this ever implemented?

Unfortunately I do not have any information regarding this feature. It is still on the list of future considerations for any future version of NinjaTrader including NinjaTrader 8.

Alternative Solution?

Hi Patrick,

Is there an alternative solution for this in Ninjascript? Something along the line of keeping the stop order in my machine until the trigger price comes along.
