I wouldn't mind reading the article myself.

BTW, has anyone created a strategy with this? I get programming errors when using the wizard.
    Elliott Wave,

If you find this indicator interesting, would you mind taking a peek at the code to see if you notice any possibilities where it could contain input options for date and time in the same indicator (as opposed to having one indicator for EOD and an 'I-Midas' variant for intraday)?

If it is possible, I may just hire a code consultant...this is pretty much the only indicator keeping me from dropping StockFinder.

In StockFinder, for example, i've found it to be a nice tool to have on 60 minute charts. This is not currently possible in NT.

If, it is of interest, don't feel rushed or anything (since StockFinder is currently filling in this capability).

    Thanks for reading.

The attached .jpg is an example of the settings options in StockFinder....just to give you an idea of how you have the option to set everything from Year to Seconds on each Midas line plotted. It's a 3 hour chart.

Hi robert, thanks for sharing the idea, so in essense you pick a manual starting point for the MIDAS S/R levels? Could be also handy with a pivot algorithm to align those...

        Bertrand,

That's correct. I've found them useful to place them on swing highs/lows/pivots. If you notice on the image, price action retraces back to the first plotted Midas line [which is also a retrace back to a Fib. line (not on the chart)], but they do offer support to Fib. retracements and also support moves towards Fib. targets.

Though, on this chart, I was not using Midas with swings and Fibs., I was testing their use with TD Sequential and TD-D Wave indicators from DeMark.

Hi Robert, thanks for the explanations - hopefully someone takes it up and adds to the existing code.

Man, I hope someone is able to. I want to move over to NT without having SF running in the background just for the Midas.

            Thanks Bertrand,

Hi robert, I understand - you can always contact those consultants to get the custom code created - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/pa...injaScript.htm

Sorry guys. Have been upgrading my web and mysql servers tonight, and my vmware server. So the file has been "off and on" for last couple hours as it resides on my web server.

Am 90% done, just rebooting everything and grabbing some clean backups. Try again.

                    Thanks,
                    Mike

                        cs extension

Please bear with me since I'm new to this. When attempting to import the I-Midas into Ninja, it doesn't seem to recognize the .cs extension. Wrong file type for Ninja or am I importing it incorrectly? (file-utilities-import script)
                        Thanks!

Welcome to our support forums Essiar - you're using the correct import method, did you specify the full zip file from post 1 to import? http://www.ninjatrader.com/SC/September2008SC.zip

                            import steps

I unzipped the file to desktop, then attempted to import the I_Midas.cs file. Is that incorrect? Not that this import itself is critical as much as I obviously will need to be able to import other scripts in the future and if they all have the .cs file extension I'd better learn my errors sooner than later.
                            Thanks again!

Do not unzip. Import zip file itself
