On my eSignal Forex chart of GBPUSD on Dec 1, I have prices out to 4:30 PM EST; however, in Ninja Trader I only have prices out to 1:15 PM. I'm using Gain's data feedfor both charts. Why does Ninja's chart stop earlier than eSignal's?

Thanks,
Ben

Not sure. I suspect you're talking about live GAIN data. If so, please check out session begin/end on your charts (right click -> Properties).

Yes, it is live Gain data. And remember, I set that at 11:55 PMfor my 5 min chart and to 11:45 PM EST for my 15 min chart so that the Pivot points would be calculated correctly.

Hmm, just for the sake of isolating this issue I'd suggest change your session begin/end settings ot default ("00:00" or "12:00 AM") and see if that makes a difference.

Which timezone (relative to EST) are you in?

It's almost 1 AM and I've got to get some sleep. I'll wish you a good night and will check in later this morning. Thanks

This is two different issues:
- why did you get this gap on live data (did you? or did you just shut down NT at this point?): I suggest running a chart on live data with sesssion begin/end = "00:00" and see if you're able to reproduce
- how can you close the gap on historical data: the problem here is you can't, since GAIN only supports data 1 day back

We will provide more lookback data for GAIN in near future.

I was doing so many things with Ninja over the weekend thatI don't remember when I turn it off Friday and Saturday. It may be that I had Ninja on, but was not logged in on Saturday in order for it to download Friday's data. I forgot that Gain only supplies one day's worth of data.

eSignal GAIN data is not the same as NT GAIN data. Two separate pools of historical data. NT uses the GAIN API which uses GAIN own stored historical data.
