Hi,

Playing around with NT6, got a few small niggly things...but firstly, my minute charts are not side scrolling, or putting it another way, the bars are not updating according to the number of minutes I opened the chart at.

Whats happening is the last bar is just going up and down, getting bigger and bigger. When I shut down and reopen NT, new bars are there, but then the last bar just keeps getting bigger again.

The time on my charts at the bottom is wrong, by a factor of hours.

Interestingly, I have a tick chart open and it IS scrolling sideways as should be, with correct time at bottom, along with BuySellPressure indicator updating.

All the other indicators on the other charts have frozen, waiting for the next bar which never comes...

Help!

regards,
Antraman

Not sure what would cause that, I have never seen that before.

- make sure your PC clock is in snyc
- which provider are you connected to?
- can you provide excat steps on how to reproduce?

Thanks

Hi,

Hmm. Went to sleep and tried again this morning, seems ok. I'm with IB.

Its happened to me a couple of times, usually closing and restarting fixes it.

The steps to reproduce are nothing more than turn on and fire up...will keep an eye on it.

cheers,
Antraman

Hi, its happening again. I open a minute chart (any time period), and the last bar just gets bigger, and does not update to a new bar, nor does the chart scroll sideways. Computer clock time is now 1.30pm, yet the the bar chart says 16.30. Way out.

I open a tick chart, and the time says 1.30, and the chart scrolls sideways like it should.

Both charts (minute bar and tick) show the same last traded price, that also appears in the DOM.

thanks in advance,
Antraman

So the problem is the historical chart data which is "in the future" here 16:30.

Is this reprodcible on all instrument or only on a particular one?

Thanks

I also tried the ES and the NQ, both now show 16.40, same as the 6E. When I close down and reopen, the time has changed according to the length of time NT was shutdown.

I'm not sure what you mean by "in the future".

cheers,
Antraman

You said your PC clock did show 1:30 PM. I suppose this is the time of the timezone you are licing in, no?

So 16:30 = 4:30 PM - which is the timestamp of last bar of the bar series on chart - would be in the future, no?

I am in Australia. Right now the time is 2.00am, Saturday 12th.

14.30 for me, was like 12 hours ago.

Would it be after noon Jan 12 th in Chicago right now???

Just to clarify, I have set my PC clock time 12hours off, in order to coincide with what I believed to be the market opening times in Chicago, because I wanted the Session Start and Finish times in NT5 (12am), to actually start at a meaningful point rather than in the middle of the trading day, so as to have the Pivots and Prior Day OHLC indicator have any meaningful use. I now realise I have actually set my clock to the wrong time to achieve this, as I really should have the NT Session start time of 12am coincide with days open trading time in Chicago, in order for Pivots and Prior Day OHLC to work.

I' confused.

- your local time is 14:00 = 2 PM at 12th (or was 13:30 = 1:30 PM at 12th)
- you last bar on chart showed (or still shows?) 16:30 = 4:30 PM at 12th, no? Please verify the timestamp of the last bar e.g. bar the chart data box.

If above is true, when the last bar has a timestamp in the future, no?

Please double check, so we are on the same page.

Thanks in advance.

The last bar of my time stamp now reads 16.45. It has not changed in the last 20mins.

Thanks
