Merging data issues

Quick question..

I load up a chart of YM 6-9... 150 tick bars, from 3/11 to 6/11

Load up another chart of YM 9-9... 150 tick bars, 120 days back (effectively getting all the data there is)

I merge the YM 6-9 from 3/11 to 6/11 into the YM 9-9.. it sits there, claims it works..

i reload ym 9-9, and it did backfill data from 3/11 to 3/30 (looks great with 150 tick bars) but from 4/1 to 6/11 it still has 9-9 tick data (as evident by really big bars with little to no volume up until 6/11 where the volume came in)

whats the deal here? when is ninajtrader 7 coming out that will end all this crap!?

Try disconnecting, so the online servers are not accessed by accident, and trying it again following these steps exactly:

NT7 is due out the first half out in beta in June or July, however this feature may or may not change with the new version.

oh ok--i will try this. so it is best to do it while offline?

Yes, I always recommend merging while disconnected to avoid accidental historical data reload.
