Default long term strategies

Hi guys, question in regards to automation of longer term strategies. If I am running a strategy and have open positions then shut down Ninja trader at the end of the day, when I restart the following day will the program recognize the open positions and jsut pick up where it left off?

Thanks!!

maninjapan,

No, strategies only know what they have in their current instance. If you close NT and restart, you are using a new instance. The strategy recalculates what it thinks it should have in terms of positions and this may or may not match your account position. It is imperative to match your account position to the strategy position at start. Please see this article: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ead.php?t=4033
