multiple (unwanted) orders fired on 'outside' bars
should have thought more about this before posting

Memory will not affect the "logic" operation of a strategy. Since your strategy is not performing as you expect, you will need to re-evaluate your strategie's logic and the parameters used when running the strategy against a real-time feed. The source of the issue lies somewhere there.
