how to delete instrument in the default instrument list?

i have a few questions that needed to be answer, thanks in advanced:

1. how do you delete instrument in the default instrument list?

2. how do you type the symbol name in the instrument tab of the dynamic SuperDom? this is linked to Q1, as i can only select instrument in the default instrument list. This list is getting longer and longer and i don't know how to remove instrument from this list?

3. how do you chart instrument (futures) that expired in say 12-2007? the reason is that i recently download some old market replay data and i couldnt chart it because it expired too long ago and i cant see the expiry date on the drop down menu.

cwl17, welcome to our forums -

1. Go to Tools > Instrument Manager, find the default list on the left side, select the instrument you wish to delete on it and press the > buttom to remove.

2. Not sure I follow you here - in the Name field you can just type in the instrument and press 'Enter' to either access or create it as 'on the fly' one (for equities).

3. You would need to temporarily set back the local PC clock and then restart NT fresh, this should then give you older contract expiries to add via the Instrument Manager.
