I have a strategy that tests well on my machine at home, so I was going to put it on a work machine in a data center to go live. I moved the strategy and backtested it to ensure it was all working and too my surprise it was showing totally different results !
Same, OS (Vista), same quote provider (Ninja servers for historical data), same version of Ninja Trader (latest 6.5). I resintalled Ninja on the machine, deleting all the Ninja stuff from My Documents, but nothing helps. Everything is the same ... except the results ! I went through and compared the charts of both results from both machines, and one seems to miss many trades. So I installed Ninja on my laptop and run it all from there, the results where almost the same as with the first machine, although still slightly different. What could be causing the large difference between the other 2 machines and which one is correct ? The strategy is very simple only have 2 paramaters. thx. |

Ok, my fault, the other machine is in a different time zone and that was really upsetting the script.
