What time (EST) does the Kinetick daily bar end, or does it depend on my session settings?
At 9pm EST on Sunday evening, my Kinetick daily bars is still stuck on the previous Fridays bar. My weekly bars are still stuck on the week of the 13 Aug. I am assuming they should have changed by 9pm EST on a Sunday. If this is a Kinetick problem, should I cancel my data subscription fees until the issue is resolved. If the daily data does not work properly, I am paying for nothing. thanks. |

Hi astrolobe,
There is no issues with the Kinetick feed. For daily bars, the session begins and end times depend on the instrument type you are viewing, not on the session template. What instrument are you viewing?

Hi Tim,
My instrument type is forex. If their are no problems with the Kinetick daily bars, could you explain the behavior from my first post. Additionally, if on a daily forex chart, you "reload all historical data" from the chart menu, you will see that NT only shows bars up to the previous days bar, AND price is frozen at the previous days close. Let me know if you are unable to reproduce this scenario. thanks. |

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? (Help>About) Please allow me to gather more information... Can you provide the steps to you use to conclude that "daily bars is still stuck on the previous Fridays bar"

I am using beta 19.
Using Kinetick, I create two forex charts of the same pair using the "Forex" session template. Chart A is a 1440 minute chart, and chart B is a Daily chart. Typically the the Daily chart does not have the last bar that is on the 1440 minute chart. This last bar is the current daily bar that is being built, i.e., that has not completed yet. So I try a "Reload All Historical Data" of the Daily chart to see if that will correct the problem. If there was a partial daily bar being built (which as I have said, is not always the case), then the reload will remove the partial bar, and price on the daily bar is frozen at the close of the previous daily bar. At this point I am really keen to see if you can reproduce the same behaviour. |

There were some issues with daily bars data in beta 19, which have been resolved with beta 20. Please upgrade to the latest beta at: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/do...rent_users.htm Then, after re-running your test, let me know if you are still seeing that behavior.

either daily bars don't build at all or they do build but they are completely wrong. Attached is an intraday chart with a line on the high and then a daily chart with the same line....

Hi Tom,
Each provider delivers their daily bars opening at differing times, potentially, which explains the difference in the bar ranges when compared to the 1440 minutes bars. Are you still seeing an issue with the daily bars not updating live?
