Is is possible to completely delete the db for the charting to start with fesh data?

Yes. The file is in \My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\db. Delete the file named NinjaTrader.mdb. If you are on NT6.5 the directory is \My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\db.
You will probably need to close/restart your NinjaTrader to do this.

Hi,
I deleted the file and restarted nt without connecting....opened a chart and there was still data??? Also, another question; why would the log say Shutting down SMTP server? And another one; why this in the log as well??; Current license: Type=Regular State=Verified StartDate=29-Oct-07 EndDate=31-Dec-98 thank you Ashish |

Because you deleted the wrong file (in case you still see chart data). >> why would the log say Shutting down SMTP server? Because this message is issued as part of the shutdown procedure. >> Current license: Type=Regular State=Verified StartDate=29-Oct-07 EndDate=31-Dec-98 Because that's your license

A) I deleted "NinjaTrader.mdb" if that's the wrong file pls tell the correct name. B) I just booted up...didn't shut anything down? C) I have a lifetime license?? Ashish |

a) please see Josh's post for correct file location
b) then you disabled the SMTP server on Tools->Options c) please verify by Help->About that you applied correct license code and contact "sales AT ninjatrader DOT com" in case of questions

A) That is the file and location which i deleted...? B) What the is SMTP for? i did not disable it...i didn't touch it...it is unchecked in options...should it be checked? C) Valid says 98...does that mean 2098? |
