Default Is MACD exp. mov. avg. or simple?

I am just curious is the moving avg. simple or exp. in the MACD for Ninja charts?

Hello jp2890,

The MACD indicator uses EMA only. You can check its code at Tools-->Edit NinjaScript-->Indicator.

I meant the characteristics of VMA, say how to set the volatility period etc?

You can configure the indicator in the Indicator menu. Double click the indicator to apply it and subsequently configure it to your liking using the settings on the right side.

You can find a description in the Indicator menu in the lower right corner when an indicator is highlighted.

In addition, you can view the indicator code at Tools-->Edit NinjaScript-->Indicator.
