Default EMA_multicolored issue

Hello

I have noticed something about the EMA multicolored indicators that comes with NT.... I have it set to calculate on bar close and the plot style to squares.. Sometimes when a square plots AND the bar closes and moves on to the next bar.. and after that next bar closes too. the color of the 2 previous ema squares changes .....despite the fact that the bars have already closed and price moved on....

Is there a way to fix that?

Is there another custom ema colored indicator that doesn't do that..

Thank you I would appreciate any help

Chris, there would be no multicolored EMA per default with NT so you're dealing with custom code here which you would need to review on why the past bars are being changed then.

Please also try with the code concepts shown in this reference here :

thanks Bertrand for replying.

that is weird. I don't recall ever installing a custom ema multicolored indicator.. went just now to open the indicator folder in the bin to get the .cs file.. But I couldn't find it.... I went in edit ninjascript and it is not there either.. yet I have it in my indicator list when I open it from a chart..... Did previous NT version had EMA_multicolored indicators because I may have copied and pasted some files from old "bin" documents in the new "bin"

----> how to retrieve the .cs file for this mystery indicator? maybe someone here could look at it and figure what is wrong

----> I am afraid I know nothing about coding hence the link you posted couldn't help me...Is there a free ema multicolored out there that you know of.. I will try and search on my end too

Chris, the only one I would be aware of is attached, you can give this a try.

Is the one you used perhaps installed as assembly?

You can check under File > Utilities > Remove NinjaScript.

Thank you very much..

However I still can't find any trace of that EMA_Multicolored indicator.. I tried the remove assembly but when I click it the computers freezes for a seconds as it process things (it has low ram) then when it is done...nothing happens..

Where could this be indicator hidden? should this be worrying?

You're welcome, so after the attempted removal of the assembly - would it then be gone the next time you check?

Thanks,

Hi... Is it possible to add an alert that is triggered when ema changes color.. I know it would require a coder, but since this is a very simple addition I was hoping that you or someone gratefully add the alert code.

By the way I still can't find any trace of an indicator EMA_Multiocolored that shows up only in the indicator list when clicked from a chart

Thank you

Chris, unfortunately we would not offer code modification services, but I'll leave this thread open for other community members.
