charting and volume

im currently using iqfeed, i have iqfeed feeding data into excel and recieving tick volume, however i cant seem to get tick volume when i have iqfeed running in ninja trader.

I am looking at indexs, is there a setting in ninja trader that allows me to load tick volume for indexs

djusfn.x is one of the indexs i am referring to.

Hello bskogz12,

Indexes are not traded instruments, so there is no actual volume associated with them. Some providers will provide a simulated volume for indexes. With IQfeed you may need to use an alternate symbol.

many indexs have volume, as long as the volume is added correctly and weighted it can be very useful.

i know this particular index has volume attached to it, why cant ninja recognize this.

Best will be to contact IQFeed. There may be an alternate symbol you can use that will send the volume info you're looking for.
