Default Continous point and figure charts

Hello,

I have noticed in NT the point and figure charts do not run continously. There is a session break line that splits up the price change. I've tried going to the data series and setting the plot session break line to false, but it does nothing.

Does NT display classical Wyckoff style PF charts that run price action continously?

Also, is there any way you could get the ruler to measure that amount of PF boxes aswell the time duration and bars?

I've attached an sample to this post..

Hello,

The point and figure charts will reset of the beginning of each session based on the session template you have used.

You could create your own custom session template which spans an entire week from Monday to Friday from the start and end times. This should prevent the session from resetting each day to each week.

Please see our Help Guide article on How to create and edit a Session Template for more information:

Unfortunately the ruler tool is limited to only bars and time. There is not a way to get the additional PnF information measured, however I will submit this to development to consider in a possible future version.

Wouldnt the solution you are suggesting still create a session break, but on a weekly basis instead?

I want my point and figure chart data to flow continously..

Regards, Satnam.

Hello satnam,

Unfortunately this is a limitation.

However, a workaround would be to use something similar to what Matthew suggested. A weekly Session Template.

Please see the attached screen shots for my example, from Sunday 12:00a - Saturday 12:00a.
