Charting indicators using other indicators as the input

I noticed in the condition builder indicators have an "Input series" parameter so I can chose the input , but this feature appears absent when charting indicators.

For example, how could I plot the moving average of a MACD histogram?

I can do this easily in the condition builder, but when I select "plot on chart" its displayed on the same scale as the price making it unusable.

Is there any way around this?

Indicator on Indicator is unfortunately supported at the chart level. This can only be accomplished through custom indicators.

Ok, consider it a feature request then.

Since it is possible using the strategy wizard hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to port the relevant code portion to the charts.

All thats needed is the "Input Series" parameter. That would not only allow indicators of indicators, but also for indicators to be based on high/low/open etc. regardless of whether that has been specifically coded into the indicator, which is often not the case...

The way I see it, this simple change by the NT dev team, would eliminate the need for this functionality to be re-coded into every indicator.
