Hello,
I would like to copy a strategie, to keep the old one and base a new one on the old. But I can't finde a way to do that. Is it possible, without unlocking the code? Thanks for your help, Dennis |

Unfortunately it is not possible without unlocking the code...
What you can do is in the Conditions and Actions screen, you can save a condition set as a template by right clicking in the grid of conditions. As you then create a new strategy, you can load this template.

I did what you describe and found that process to be even more annoying, I saved a template assuming that that specific template could be "added" to wizardd conditions i already inputed. IE if i use the same wizard criteria for a ma cross i turned it into a template. Then later on in a new strategy after spending 20 mins building things i decided to "load" the template that had the ma criteria i wanted also. It loaded it alright, by deleting everything else. I am curious if this is by design and if anyone plans on changing it in new releases. For wizard use it would make sense to right click a specific line, choose copy, then be able to paste that line into other lines without it deleting the other lines and just pasting that line.
thanks Tim I state this so users are wary that the "load" template will delete everything else you made. i am using version 6.5 |

Thanks for your quick replies!
I found out, that renaming a strategie creates a new one with the new given name... at least thats the case with my version. Thats good news. |

As a note, I have found the lack of copy to be the most annoying feature in the software... so far. It would be great to have the ability added in future releases, the first thing I tried to dow as iteratively build on my work in the wizard by copying previous strategies... and I couldn't!
Overall, that's actually saying something good about NT. As annoying as I found this, it's not that bad for being the worst thing I've come across. The software is great! |

Hey Gabriel,
have You tried to just rename an existing strategy? For me it duplicates it correctly, so this is a nice workaround, or just an error on my installation? Dennis |
