Lightbulb Arrows on chart as entry for strategy exit back testing

Hi!

While studying the chart I place triangle up and dow arrows where my method would like to buy and sell ( as my method can not be programmed.)

Is it possible to read out the exact time and price of those triangle arrows, so I can program and test a exit strategy and use these exact time and price positions as a entry?

In other words, I can create several exit strategy's to backtest with my entry positions I manually draw on my charts.

Greetings,
Bart

Hi Bart,

Not sure I follow, you want to print out the time of the bar?

I put manually triangle arrows on my historical chart.

Those arrows represent my buy or sell entry's
(These manually drawn arrows (entry's) cannot be programmed)

I have multiple exit strategy's programmed, and want to test those exit strategy's against my manually drawn arrows that exist on my historical chart.

Is it somehow possible to read out the arrows by price and time so I can create a strategy with my entry's hardcoded into the strategy ?

I hope is more clear for you know,

Thx in advance,

Bart

Thanks...Now I understand.

Unfortunately it is not possible to access manually drawn objects on a chart programatically.

Thumbs up

You wrote:

but maybe manually from a ninjatrader file perhaps, or just no other way than write them down on paper?

I assume it is possible to make a strategy with hardcoded buy and sells right?

Thanks for your help and have a nice weekend !

greetings from the netherlands,
Bart

Yes, you can use time based functions to narrow down your entry/exit.

Tot ziens!
