I am trying to load a NYSE TICK chart with DTN data. According to my DTN rep, the data is turned on and ready to go.
When I search for TICK on NT, I find ^TICK which does nothing when I load it. DTN told me the symbol is TICK.Z I attempted to load one manually but that did not work. How do I get NT to load a NYSE TICK chart through DTN data? Thanks! |

Hi Brownsfan,
Thank you for your post. Please try the following. - From the Control Center --> Tools --> Instrument Manager - Bring up the TICK index and click edit. - From the instrument editor click the MISC TAB and enter TICK.Z as displayed within the attached screen shot. - Remove the TICK index from your default instrument list and then add it back to that list. This must be done for the changes to take effect. |

Hi Brownsfan,
It is best to contact DTN IQ with this inquiry for the exact amount of historical data you can request from them. I created a chart for the Nyse Tick with a daily interval for 3 years of historical data and displayed all requested data.

Hi Velocity,
I tested this moments ago and it worked correctly, please repeat the steps provided. - From the Control Center --> Tools --> Instrument Manager -Please remove (>) the current ^TICK instrument from your default list. - Bring up the TICK index and click edit. - From the instrument editor click the MISC TAB and enter TICK.Z as displayed within the attached screen shot. - Add the TICK instrument (<) press OK then open a chart. If this doesn't work please send an e-mail to support at NinjaTrader dot com ATTN: Mike
