Unable to read cache data error

After upgrading to beta 7 I keep getting the above error popup.

I get this too, but only the first time I load an instrument that was already in my market analyzer list. It may just be a 'first time' issue.

    Cheers

I got this error repeatedly on first start up of B7. Not afterwards. I did not have any StrategyAnalyzers open.

Yes, got about a dozen or so of those same error pop ups the very first time I started B7.. After closing all the darn pop-ups.. I immediately closed NT, nuked all the contents of the cache folder (documents/NinjaTrader 8/cache) re-opened NT8 and all was good..

I got the same errors. After closing all the dialogs and restarting NT, they went away.

                same error messages here additionally

the chart display seems messed up using tick charts

and tick with 1m chart - this was mentioned in a fixed report in the release notes

but to my sense this is a backward step in terms of scaling - i did not have these issues previously in last 2 betas i am seeing now

Thank you all for the feedback.

I will be looking for the root of this issue and will post my findings in this thread.

I uploaded a hotfix to Beta 7 yesterday to resolve a regression where optimizations would not work correctly and I'm wondering if this is related.

Can you please download beta 7 again those of you having issues with SA and let me know after reinstall if you see the issue again. If you still run into the issue please send your trace and log files to support at ninjatrader dot com ATTN: Brett and reference this forum post.

I tested the hotfix by updating to it over the original version of B7. I did not see the problem.

I might have time this weekend to test by updating from a de novo installation of B6.

                        Hi

Done, with no evidence of the data cache error message. This was B7 over B7, though, whereas the problem occurred with B7 over B6.

                        Cheers

I have now tested this by doing a clean install of B6, followed by installing the B7 hotfix on top of it. I did not see the error.

                            Unable to read cache data

                            NT 8 Build 7:

When switching instruments I often get the "Unable to read cache data" error. Screenshot attached.

This error happens regularly, but is not easily reproducible.

The data loads as expected after the error has popped up.

This is the trace file informaion:

Would you happen to be using a custom BarsType?
