Open and Fund a Live Account or Transfer an Existing Account

You can use NinjaTrader to trade a live forex account through GAIN Capital/Forex.com. Please click on the applicable link below if you wish to trade a real cash account. There is no platform fee to use NinjaTrader when trading a GAIN Capital/Forex.com account.

Connect to the Free Real-Time Simulation Account

Prior to setting up a GAIN Capital/Forex.com account connection you must have installed NinjaTrader.
Please review the installation guide for further instructions.

1. Start NinjaTrader
2. From within the Control Center window, select “Tools > Account Connections...”
3. In the Account Connection Set Up window, press Add...
4. Follow the instructions provided in the Connection Wizard
5. Select "Use NinjaTrader servers" for Historical Data
6. Select “Demo” under the Mode option list
7. Complete the wizard
8. From within the Control Center window, select "Tools > Options > Misc"
9. Set the value for the property "Quote currencies (FX) in" to "Pip"
10. You will now be able to connect to a free real-time rate simulation account
    via the Control Center window “File > Connect” menu

Connect to Your Live Account

Prior to setting up a GAIN Capital/Forex.com account connection you must have installed NinjaTrader.
Please review the installation guide for further instructions.

In order to set up an account connection to GAIN Capital/Forex.com, you must have received the following logon/connection information.

• User Name
• Password

1. Start NinjaTrader
2. From within the Control Center window, select “Tools > Account Connections...”
3. In the Account Connection Set Up window, press Add...
4. Follow the instructions provided in the Connection Wizard
5. Select "Use NinjaTrader servers" for Historical Data
6. As per the image below, enter in the information provided by you broker
   (make sure you set "Mode" to "Live")
7. Complete the wizard
8. From within the Control Center window, select "Tools > Options > Misc"
9. If you have a "FIXED" spread account set the value for the property "Quote currencies (FX) in" to "Pip"
10. If you have a "FRACTIONAL" spread account set the value for the property "Quote currencies (FX) in" to "TenthPip"
11. You will now be able to connect to your account via the Control Center
    window “File > Connect” menu

Important: OCO (one cancels other) orders for GAIN Capital/Forex.com are locally simulated on your PC. This means that NinjaTrader must be connected to your broker in order for the OCO capability to function. If you are disconnected and one of the OCO orders are filled, the other WILL NOT be cancelled.

You can access your account information directly in an internet browser through GAIN Captial directly.
