Kinetick - A new Market Data Feed Service for NinjaTrader

    Dear NinjaTrader Users:

We are informally announcing the release of a new market data service named Kinetick which will be available for NinjaTrader 7. We are seeking beta testers.

A few of the main highlights of this service are:
    • FREE for End Of Day users for historical stock, futures and forex data
    • Real time market data service plans starting at $50 per month for 100 symbols, $70 per month for 200 symbols and $80 per month for 500 symbols
    • Market data ticker plant managed by Telvent DTN
    • Optimal market data feed for NinjaTrader 7. We write directly to the market data servers versus through an extra API layer as is the case for all of our other supported market data feeds
    • FREE news
The free End Of Day service will be available with NinjaTrader 7 Beta 16 (due out in a few days) and can be used by anyone. It is accessible within the NinjaTrader Control Center under File > Connect as a pre-configured connection.

In addition, we are seeking an initial twenty beta testers that will test the real time service on NinjaTrader 7. Preference will be given to those applicants who:
    • Have been using NinjaTrader 7 for over a month and use it everyday
    • Have demonstrated experience in beta testing and providing us feedback with NinjaTrader 7
Interested parties can send an email to support <at> kinetick <dot> com and let us know if you meet the above requirements and why you feel you would be a great beta tester.

Some preliminary information can be viewed at www.kinetick.com, please keep in mind that the website is work in progress.

Interesting. Thanks for this update Ray. Since this seems to be a collaboration with DTN, does this product have any relation to NxCore?

Ray - not sure if you want this in this thread but here you go:

          NT7b16. Connect Zen-Fire and IQFeed
Create new Account Connection using Kinetick (not EOD) and my IQFEED credentials.
          File>Connect>Kinetick

IQFeed disconnects itself (no real surprise)

          But...

The Kinetick connection swaps between Price feed=Connected and Pricefeed=ConnectionLost at least once per second until I do File>Disconnect>Kinetick.

Some nice expected behavior: NT gracefully shut down all strategies as there were more than 4 connection failures in less than five minutes (in this case five seconds

Let me know if you have anything you want me to try on my end.

Ray- I've been messing around with the EOD Kinetick data....it's a handy extra feature. Thanks for implementing this, it's a nice surprise.

                Free EOD with Futures

Is the Free EOD suppose to work with futures too? I always get an error with all futures contracts. Example: I am set for 1 year on daily so the first contract required would be ES 06-09. The error below is what I get.

yes I am getting the same message as Jesse ...

Is there a list of data symbols that Kinetick uses for Futures and Forex?

Also The Kinetick feed didn't seem to load on my 64-Bit NT platform but did work on the 32-bit NT.

Is Kinetick compatible with NT 64-Bit platform??

                    Hi,

When you guys use daily charts please be sure to set your merge policy to DoNotMerge when requesting it on charts like ES 06-10. Reason this is necessary is because data back to ES 06-09 is not available and when you try to request unavailable data it will run into that message to signify no data being available on the Kinetick server. Alternatively you can just use ES ##-##.

                    Kinetick will work with 64-bit.

                      Hi,
I logged on with the IQFeed credentials.
I use a 64 machine. The Control Center button on the taskbar
constantly blinks when you click on any non NT window or on the Desktop
itself (?) Also I left it overnight and the task manager showed large memory consumed by NT (>2GB ~crashed)

                      Thanks

                          Symbols for new feed

Congratulations on the new datafeed, it shows a lot of commitment to the product.

Have a question regarding the symbol ES ##-##. I requested Daily data for it and NT7 retrieved it ok but I've noticed it's not the RTH session but 24hrs, which is different than when I request Zen-Fire daily data.

Is there a symbol for daily (RTH) hours only? Similar to Tradestation (@ES.D) or eSignal (ES #F=2) ?

                          Thanks in advance.

                            tradinghumble,

Unfortunately I am not aware of any such symbol.

                              trend,

For your memory consumption report, can you please try with a workspace without custom indicators or scripts? Just standard NT scripts to see if it could be related to something like that? Please let us know if you can reproduce. Thanks.
