NinjaTrader 7 - Zen-Fire Connection Issue

NinjaTrader 7 Beta 18 is currently disabled from being able to connect to Zen-Fire servers. A connectivity issue has been identified and is currently being investigated by NinjaTrader and Zen-Fire technical teams. You can still connect using NinjaTrader 6.5. We will provide an update once we have more information.

UPDATE:

NinjaTrader connection handling to the Zen-Fire network operates in the following manner:

- Underlying API that is used to establish a connection reports a disconnect to NinjaTrader
- NinjaTrader re-establishes the connection
- NinjaTrader submits request for market data

On Friday, some users experienced a constant loop of the above sequence and as a result, NinjaTrader 7 Beta 18 is temporarily disabled from being able to connect to the Zen-Fire network to ensure that the network’s integrity is not compromised. The cause of these rapid disconnections are still unknown however, all technical teams involved are investigating.

- I don’t expect that there will be a resolution by open of US markets on Monday
- If you have been using NT7 live, please make plans to use NT 6.5 on Monday.
- All versions of NT7 (previous Beta’s) use the same logic for connection handling so these versions are also susceptible to this connection issue and thus we will not make available prior versions

As of earlier today, all NT7 versions are able to connect to the Zen-Fire network. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
