RemoteSoft? Other Products? Opinions?
I was curious to hear from others about RemoteSoft. Does it work well? 32 and 64-bit support? I saw one thread that said Win 7 SP1 breaks it, and another that says v4 is not supported. From all the posts, and all the emails I have sent them that went unanswered, I am afraid to spend the money with them. But what other options do I have? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Josh,
What does that mean? If we are releasing an NT7 indicator, to send in a request and somehow you can obsfucate or protect it somehow??
Thanks!

Additional Questions
Guys:
(1) Our indicator is in two parts -- the indicator itself and an additional C# class file that will sit in the same folder (our indicator makes calls to this second DLL in order to function.) Would the protection you provide extend to the second DLL as well or only to the indicator itself?
(2) Does your process afford the same protection like RemoteSoft? For example, are you obfuscating the component(s) as well as protecting them?
(3) When you say there are issues using other obfuscators, what does that mean exactly? Won't run, not compatible, etc.? For example, we use Preemptive’s tool with another software product, and we were looking at http://www.red-gate.com/products/smartassembly/index.htm as another vendor (since we use their database tools with SQL Server.) Are we stuck using whatever solution you come up with, or can we at least consider rolling our own solution?
Thanks for your help!

1. Just the indicator. There are ways to use RemoteSoft and protect other things besides NT scripts, but we would not be able to support the command lines required to do so.
2. All we would be doing is using RemoteSoft on our end with your files and protecting it for you and then sending the files back to you. As Dan has mentioned, just protect.
3. You are free to try others, but unfortunately we would not be able to tell you if it would/would not work or provide any guidance. Historically RemoteSoft just happens to be the only one to have properly demonstrated sufficient protection for your intellectual property which is why we used it.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Last Question
Can you protect an indicator that has been obfuscated with another tool? If you are not sure, can I send you one so we can test this?

Update on compiled assemblies protection?
Is there any update on when there will be a NT compliant process for protecting distributions?
Why does NinjaTrader continue to promote RemoteSoft Protector in the documentation when this is not the case anymore?
Surely this must be a show-stopper for a lot of developers.
Thanks

Until we have another official solution, RemoteSoft is the official solution despite how difficult it is to obtain. I can say that we have signed an agreement with another protection provider and hope to roll it out in the 1st quarter of 2011. Until then, if you have something that you need protected, we can do that for qualified partners inhouse.RayNinjaTrader Customer Service
