To run NinjaTrader your system must meet these minimum specifications:

• Windows Vista (SP2) w/ Platform Update, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 w/ Platform Update, Windows Server 2008 R2 or later.
• 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit or 64-bit processor
• 2GB RAM
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 (pre-installed on most PC’s and can be downloaded here: Microsoft .NET Framework)
• Screen resolution of 1024 x 768
• DirectX10 compatible graphics card highly recommended

Hello i wondered how if NT8 managed pre WIndows 8 OS and the new graphics DirectX SDK available from windows 8 +? Does this mean pre Windows 8 cant use the directX calls or is wrapped and switches based on OS and uses DirectX graphics when it can and switches to previous SDK for OS instances when the DirectX SDK not available - just curious and for vendor DLL and packages if this needs to be implemented also

Hello was answered in another thread NT8 is using SharpDX which is a managed DirectX api and handles all the windows OS environments

Depends on what you're doing.

At least quad core 3.0 ghz should fancy most with 8gb should be nice in live market

If your using strategy analyzer you'd put probably want 32gb ram, then again depend on how much you're doing in there and if your code or nt8 is consuming memory.

I like my msi laptops (ws60).
